Corner {Out and About} View

The theme this week: Out and About

I took this photo just the other night when I was out and about - in my front yard!  I just love the late afternoon/early evening sky at this time of year!  Don't you?

and for Corner View ... the theme is Evening Sky ...

I posted this photo back on day 22

it was taken late afternoon / early evening

it was still light out

but to me, it represents evening

even though that is

the sun

you can see

and

not the moon

day 22 {sky} 365

totally breaking my 'only one photo' rule today
i just couldn't choose !

both of these photos are straight out of the camera !
taken in the day time ... looking directly at the sun ... with clouds surrounding

i love the first one because you can see the sun

but i love the second one even better ...

rory reckons it looks like you're in a black hole or something.

what do you think ??

Thank you so much for all of your camera advice last week !! I really appreciate it ! You all gave such great advice and now have lots to think about before making my final decision ... I have a few months to decide though.

This weeks {sooc} was taken the other night ... I just couldn't get over how beautiful this was. I'm so glad I had my camera with me. Of course, the picture doesn't do it justice. Not one little bit. It was overwhelmingly stunning.

Those of you who are visiting from Melody's {sooc} Slurping Life, will already know about this but for the rest of you ... I've got a new blog for you to check out. It's totally amazing ! It's Melody and her 12 year old son Mac. Each day, they each choose a photo to post and give it a one word title. They don't tell each other what it's going to be. Then they post the two photos and the two words become the title. It's so cute and the photography is amazing. You will love it. Go check it out ! And make sure you leave a comment ... all bloggers love comments, especially 12 year old boys who are new to the blogging world !!

{garden tour}

who wants to have a peek in our garden ?

the snow peas are fruiting like mad
we go out and pick and eat snow peas straight off the plant every day
they are so crisp and sweet !
help yourself ... there are plenty ...

some of you commented that you didn't know coriander bloomed
well, i don't know i you can call it blooming, even though i did
technically, it's called flowering
once it flowers, the leaves aren't that great to eat
but ... you get the seeds out of the flowers which you can use to grow more coriander
or you can grind to make ...

wait for it ...

ground coriander !!!

we've got roma tomatoes

and cherry sweetbites that are finally getting some color

heaps of strawberries too
we are slowly transferring our strawberries to hanging pots
to give us more room in the garden for veggies

and look ... green beans !!

look what the sky did while i was out there taking photos tonight

i just love it

the clouds

the sun

the colors

well, google reader tells me you all have been busy posting
since i last stopped by so i think i will finish this up and pop over for a visit ...

[orange, glorious orange}

this week has found me up at 5:30 every morning
(and in bed by 9:00 pm !!)
rory has been bringing me a cuppa in bed
and i stay there toasty warm under the covers
drinking my coffee and reading my bible
the kids wander in later ready for a snuggle in the big bed
they bring their books

the other morning alia pulled back the curtains
to open the door for the cat to go out
and exclaimed
"mommy !! the sky is orange !!"

of course, i grabbed my camera ...

glorious. isn't it ?
