Video Log # 2 ~ My Brain Book

I had to break these up while I was filming because I've had trouble uploading bigger files. So ... here you go, four short vlogs on my 'brain book'.

PS ... In video #2, I mention wanting to hang something on the patio. It's fairy lights ... not furry legs like it sounded to me when I listened to it after recording ...

PPS ... How do you like the look on my face in the still shot of video #4 ?? ha ha !! I think it looks like I have pringles duck lips ... only I'm not eating pringles !!

Nice Book! It reminds me of my High School's Agenda. It was just the same...but each day had its own page for writing down your homework...or notes...there was a full calendar as well, a ruler that hooked onto the spiral binding, a yearly calendar, a place for phone numbers/address for friends, and Notes section. I loved that Agenda once I got into a routine of using it.

Now my life isn't as busy as then.

Some days I find myself finding things to do around the house...and I always find that is never ending.

THX for sharing it...I LOL a couple times. You are so funny!

love you :)

Great idea! I use those same type of books when we travel. I use one at Christmas to write down lists - things I want to buy, get down, bake and keep receipts in. Now I may have to expand and use them in daily life.
Love the Pringle duck lips!

I have to agree with something you said--your mom IS amazing!
I have a book for work, but just do notes at home, which works for me with no kids at home any more. But I will take my menu list to the grocery store from now on--what a simple solution to the problem of 2 tomatoes or 4!

I'm writing notes as I go, lol! So much great information here Bonnie!

I think this is a FANTASTIC system! I do things like this all the time- I'm still working it all out, but this looks great.

I'm going to do up a comparison chart for you of the different hosting sites so that you don't have to make 4 videos!
Also, are you using iMovie? Cause you can export it to a smaller size, which might be helpful, might not...

Also, you mentioned storage back-up for you photos. I assume you're using a mac, cause I thought you had mentioned that some time... if you are, you have time machine, and this is a REALLY easy process for back-up. Just plug in an external hard drive, and run the set-up. If you do want to do that, or want me to explain it more, just let me know and I can pop round after work some time!

If you dont' have a mac, it's just as easy- I would just periodically copy your photos onto the external hard drive- maybe once a week?

P.S you just need an iPhone! :-D

I would call it your 'UBER' Brain Book! Amazing all the info you keep! I've started using one because my 'mind of steel' is now a bowl of mush. Amazing how that happens!

I don't have a brain book ('cause i don't have kids...) but i DO have a brain fridge calendar! it's magnetic and erasable. i love it! sadly, it is in a box somewhere and i have no idea where! seeing as how i've lost my brain, i'm a little afraid i am going to fail to show up somewhere important...

Hiya! Nice to "meet" you! :)I came over via Amy @ Joy of My Heart! Great vlog! I have a brain of sorts *snicker*...but the problem is that I have mine in all sorts of places...I need to consolidate!! One thing that has really helped me is to write down things that I have lent to people or things that I have borrowed...also books/idea I want to research or put on hold at library! It is amazing the things you get done and get to do when you can actually remember them! HA!
Thanks for the helpful tips and for a few laughs too! I'll be adding you to my reader! YEA!! A new blog! :)

Amy, yep...I'm Amy also!

I stayed up just a tad later tonight just to watch these videos. I totally laughed at the first one and the lag you experienced! :)
I totally get the menu and grocery bit you shared when trying to figure out how much you needed of a certain item and can't remember what it's for! I am going to implement that into my planning from now on. I use my ipod touch for my grocery list, but will put my menu in a note on there or something! I LOVE these videos! It's nice to hear you talk and you always make me laugh! :) Hugs!
