Alia and I have been sick for the first week of school holidays. I took her to the doctor on Friday and found that she has an ear infection. I just have a head cold but I'll tell you, the congestion makes my head feel so heavy I can hardly think ! I've sat down a couple of times to blog and it was just too much ! Each day I feel a bit better but I'll be happy when I'm 100 % again !!

Do you call these lizards "Skinks" in Australia? This is what the Kiwis call them - I love them, so cute.

Ah, Bonnie, praying that you and Alia are feeling better and 100% soon soon! So frustrating for the momma to get sick... life carries on, no stopping for you! I totally get it!

How wonderful...a girl who likes lizards!! You expect this to be something you'd find in the pocket of a little boy (my boys were never into things like this!)... you can see how much she cares by her gentle handling!!
Hope you both feel better soon...not a fun way to begin school holidays!
These pictures are so cute. I love that tiny patch of nail polish on her finger in the first picture. It just adds to the picture of a little girl holding a lizard!
Aw...hope you both feel better soon...I HATE ear infections...especially those where blood and puss is coming out...those are REALLY painful!
Oh and the lizard is very cute. I caught a snake...when I was 8...by drowning them out of its home...

Sounds like my kind of girl. Growing up in western Colorado, lizards were daily sport.

She would be such a great friend for the little girl living next door. That one loves worms, spiders and everything to be found in a garden.

You'd laugh, Emma has adopted ear-wigs as pets now. She came downstairs nursing one with glee, and has built it a house and an adventure playground.

I think how she's holding the lizard is great. They are tricky little beggars to catch.
