Corner View - Modes of Transportation
The theme for this week's 'corner view' at Spain Daily is modes of transportation.
The most obvious mode of transportation is 'the automobile' but since a picture of that would be pretty darn boring ... at least not with my automobile which is neither flashy, sporty, classic nor cool !
I was wishing I lived somewhere that had large Amish communities so I could take a horse and carriage photo to post.
But ... I don't.
I live in Australia.
On the beach.
ok ... not RIGHT on it.
But, very close.
Anyhoo ...
Apart from using our cars, our most common modes of transportation are as follows ...
On foot.
We like to walk.
We walk a lot.
Well, we did before we moved.
We'll get back into it soon !
On scooter.
Ok ... I don't have a scooter.
Rory doesn't have a scooter.
But the kiddos do.
And they transport themselves on them.
Regularly.
And of course ... drum roll please ... the bicycle !!
So there you have it ... my corner of the world and our modes of transportation.

Those are great photo's of your transportation!
great modes of transportation! The closest shop G. and I can walk to is the healthfood store which we plan to do quite often this season!
I love the photos! You made transportation fun.
Great modes of transport. On a side note I spent some time in Southern Ontario Canada and was in a town that was just outside an Amish village that had horse and buggie parking at most of the stores. It was cool and now I wish I had pics of it. Oh well. Thanks for the great post.
Love these photos!! Very creative!! So weird that it's already Wednesday there!!
I'm all for 2 wheeled no-gas mode of transportation! We live at the top of a steep heel, so they are good only for one part of the journey ...
I like the photo of your Toyota, which I think is quite cool.
Great photos. Even though we live in totally different parts of the world and I guess in very different surrondings our modes of transportations are alike.
Great photos! I´m still obsessing that you are all barefoot or in flip flops! I´m sooo jealous! Ps- In the states I live about 1 hour from the Amish. It´s a different world...
Fantastic shots! Your last photo is amazing! Walking is big in Germany too, it's so much a part of the culture here.
Bonnie, at least you have had the luck that people speak the same language where you moved. Aaarrrgggghh... the German grammar is so stinkin' hard!
on beach... I'm fine with beach walking
Oh, my! I've forgotten about this week's theme! Thanks for reminding me... and with such pretty pictures.
Oh! Your pictures are great!
I used to walk a lot before I moved six months ago. Now I´m one hour walk from everywhere, so is difficult not to be tempted by an easy bus ride!
:D
love all the pix, but my favorite one is of one of your kiddos on the scooter.... and, girl! get yourself a scooter. i have one, and it's fabulous.
I like your idea with the amish community! would be nice the community (or at least their way of transportation) would be in the whole world!
horse carriages are cool, but i'll choose to live close to the beach in australia over living in an amish community with horse carriages anyday! nice photos :)
that was a treat, thank you!
great photos too. have a nice day!
Wow! Gorgeous photos! I definitely wouldn't mind living in Australia after seeing these!
Your photos are fantastic, as always!
Thanks for sharing, your photos look great.
Nice photos. Those scooters are all the rage here, too :)
beautiful photos and great corner view!
You take such beautiful pictures.
You gotta love Toyota!!
i've really enjoyed reading your blog today! thanks for sharing!
Wonderful shots, Bonnie. Love the car one...great perspective! One of these days I should get some Menonite carriage pics when I"m up at my in-laws. We don't see them all the time, but often!
I love all the variety here :) ... if you were Amish you'd be quite far from the beach - and if you could get to the beach somehow - you'd probably have to swim in a dress :) ....
Yay to the foot!
Those two bike photos are gorgeous.
The small town I grew up in was surrounded by Amish communities and when my friends and I were in H.S. we used to get so annoyed when stuck behind a buggy or a tractor on the road.. ha!
Thank you for sharing your lovely photos with us. :)
I would LOVE to live very close to a beach. That's one of my dream, actually. :)
I love your transportation modes. On Saturday, we were in Indiana watching the Amish with their horse and buggies. Shaelyn loves their horses. She decided to be amish when we got home and put on her skirt!
(she doesn't quite realize it'll take a bit more than that to be amish!)
I love your take on transportation!
hey, can you mail me your postal adress on touyarou@yahoo.co.in ... my daughter Lou has a small handmade card for you ...
Love these big photos! I got a horse and wagon! But Australia is so perfect for them as a mode of transportation....not on the beach though I suppose...
OMG! Your pictures are amazing!!! Thx for sharing, Carmie.
i love the tail light shot. i almost took a photo like that, but got distracted by one of my kids and didn't.
