Beautiful. I don't recognize it. Is it a Camellia?

Beautiful! Many people don't think to take a photo of a flower from behind, but it gives a different view and yours is so pretty with the light coming through. Is this a camellia?

i'm always taking too many photos of flowers in various stages of blooming - but they do look different each minute that goes by!

I'm just trying to imagine the scent of this flower. It looks so fresh in the sun. Thank you for sharing!

What are these flowers?
Our ginger is ornamental, not edible. I would like to plant some edible ginger though. I just took a tour of our our daughter's school garden and they had it growing there.
