Corner View - Out Your Back Window or Door

welcome to australia !

this is our back door. it goes out onto our patio. a place we like to spend lots of time.

Photobucket

we haven't purchased an outdoor setting yet. we will
but we're spacing out our purchases since moving into our new place
we've ordered bunk beds for the kids room. a new couch is next
the outdoor setting will come in the spring
until then, we spread blankets ...
like on mother's day

Photobucket

i love our veggie garden ...

Photobucket

and our herb garden

Photobucket

and the beautiful sunshine that sometimes gets too hot so we use the umbrella

Photobucket

and the cool winter nights that are warmed by a fire in the brazier

Photobucket

if you'll look out the side window for a moment, you'll see one of my favorites sights
my favorite boy hanging out with my favorite man
cooking breakfast in their pajamas
probably talkin' football, a passion they share

Photobucket

a big thanks to jane - the host of corner view

**

last week i put all of the corner view participants into my google reader
two of you (outi and janis) didn't have feeds so aren't there
if you are a participant and aren't there (it seems to be in alphabetical order)
let me know so i don't miss your post !!

Your view looks great - I am sure next summer's furniture won't make it any better! I would love to be cooking out in my pyjamas - I think the neighbours would be laughing though!

Thanks for the comment over on my blog - I am enjoying this Corner View project - giving me something to post about ;o)

Same here, we need to get some new outdoor furniture. Plenty of time and it's not a concern this time of year so much. The brazier photo makes me feel nice and toasty - I love that you manage to grow things and not kill them (guess who kills plants...) and that umbrella shot is so cool!

What a beautiful view! I would be in heaven to lay on the grass and look up into the clouds. Your herb garden is amazing too. Thanks. xoox

would love to have an umbrella like this on my patio, but i have a feeling my kids would do something creative with it (read: i don't think it would last very long...)

I have never seen an umbrella that attaches to the house like that before. That's very clever!
That last picture is really sweet!

I love the first photo... I've always loved to sit in the shade of an umbrella and soak in the warmth of the day. (not too many of those in Germany) I wouldn't trade my garden space for anything... great post!

Bonnie, I always feel a little uncomfortable taking pictures of people on the sly, but there's something appealing about it. It's real. The picture of your man and little man is cool, because it tells a story. I can just imagine what they're talkin' about!
