Corner View - Out Your Back Window or Door
welcome to australia !
this is our back door. it goes out onto our patio. a place we like to spend lots of time.
we haven't purchased an outdoor setting yet. we will
but we're spacing out our purchases since moving into our new place
we've ordered bunk beds for the kids room. a new couch is next
the outdoor setting will come in the spring
until then, we spread blankets ...
like on mother's day
i love our veggie garden ...
and our herb garden
and the beautiful sunshine that sometimes gets too hot so we use the umbrella
and the cool winter nights that are warmed by a fire in the brazier
if you'll look out the side window for a moment, you'll see one of my favorites sights
my favorite boy hanging out with my favorite man
cooking breakfast in their pajamas
probably talkin' football, a passion they share
a big thanks to jane - the host of corner view

Your view looks great - I am sure next summer's furniture won't make it any better! I would love to be cooking out in my pyjamas - I think the neighbours would be laughing though!
Thanks for the comment over on my blog - I am enjoying this Corner View project - giving me something to post about ;o)
Same here, we need to get some new outdoor furniture. Plenty of time and it's not a concern this time of year so much. The brazier photo makes me feel nice and toasty - I love that you manage to grow things and not kill them (guess who kills plants...) and that umbrella shot is so cool!
what a beautiful moment between your hausband and son!!
What a beautiful view! I would be in heaven to lay on the grass and look up into the clouds. Your herb garden is amazing too. Thanks. xoox
You have a great back yard. The gardens are great!
I tagged you in a post tonight. Join if you like, but don't feel obligated! :)
oh i love that umbrella! and your gardens are lovely.
would love to have an umbrella like this on my patio, but i have a feeling my kids would do something creative with it (read: i don't think it would last very long...)
Seems like a great place to relax in summer and winter and inbetween. Thanks for sharing.
every time i read one of your corner view posts i decide to move to australia. i think breakfast cooked out on the grill just cinched it. thanks bonnie! besos-jane
A sweet little world...
what a great place you have!
that looks like a great place...enjoy your summer
it's cool and I should share with you the grill !;)
I have never seen an umbrella that attaches to the house like that before. That's very clever!
That last picture is really sweet!
I love the first photo... I've always loved to sit in the shade of an umbrella and soak in the warmth of the day. (not too many of those in Germany) I wouldn't trade my garden space for anything... great post!
Bonnie, I always feel a little uncomfortable taking pictures of people on the sly, but there's something appealing about it. It's real. The picture of your man and little man is cool, because it tells a story. I can just imagine what they're talkin' about!
what a lovely space. thanks for sharing.
I'd want to spend lots of time out there too! thanks for sharing!
I just LOVE your pictures. I have always wanted to visit Australia. Is it hot or not there? Loved your pictures of the waterfall the other day too. Soooo pretty!
I think a chicken wandered into your herb garden. Great pictures! I always love your corner views.
i especially love the umbrella shots!

Beautiful herb garden.. can't wait to start one of my own soon! And there's nothing better than a view of your very favorite people. :)
I love everything about your post - your umbrella, your garden, your brazier - and the final shot is just adorable.
We love your backyard!! So cozy! You're herbs looks awesome! Are you using them lots?
that's one good looking backyard ya got there!
i think my mom has that exact same chicken. only her's is sitting on top of a random drain in the middle of the yard so the lawnmower doesn't get chewed up.
That's a great place!
The last photo is so beautiful!
Australia must be great (as your umbrella)! I love the last picture and your idea to share your google reader with us. Thanks
