Sharing The Storm

Photobucket

In the midst of heartbreak that I am not at liberty to share with you, I am holding on to this ...

"When the oceans rise and thunders roar, I will soar with you above the storm.
Father you are king over the flood, I will be still and know you are God. "

Oceans are rising, the thunders continue to roar, there is a terrifying storm. But God is still God.

I'm sorry that you are going through a hard time. I'm glad you are holding on to the fact that God is still God. I'll be praying for you.

How wise you are oh cousin of mine! I can't wait till you are here to share that wisdom and quite strength with us in person. God is still God...and I know that in the dark night of the soul, He is closer than ever and has us all in His hands...even if it doesn't exactly feel like it. I was reading Psalms last night and came across one that was a gentle encouragement..."Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy. He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him." Ps 126:5-6 We certainly are sowing a lot of tears right now...but we will sing songs of joy eventually. The Message put verse 6 like this: "So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of blessing." God we are expecting those armloads!

Whatever you're going through I'm sure God will bring you through with love and hope.

Praying for you Bon, whatever it is. :-)

Bonnie, I will pray for you and your storm. Your post reminded me of this song:

Till The Storm Passes By

In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face,
While the storm howls above me, and there's no hiding place.
'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try,
For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by"
But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise
Where the storms never darken the skies.

Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

When the long night has ended and the storms come no more,
Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;
In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I
Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.

Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.

Reading your post while listening to a song from another friend's post made me shed tears. I know your trust in God will be honoured. Its not long now until you step in your homeland once again *hugs*
